Millie is a 4-year-old, female, Labrador Retriever.
Millie was brought in as an emergency after she had caught a stick that had become stuck in her mouth.
Her owner had managed to remove most of the stick but was worried more may still remain. On exam Millie was visibly in shock but was clinically well, her airways were clear and there wasn’t a great deal of haemorrhage (bleeding).

Lillie is a 6 years old, female, Red Setter.
We saw Lillie after her owner noticed that she wasn’t right. She had been off colour for about 12 hrs, was lethargic, unsettled and had been salivating quite a lot which is normally seen as a sign or feeling nauseous. Her owners had also seen her retching.
